At the site of the former East Indies’ bank vault, in a 200-year-old building, Ashley Sutton (Iron Fairies, Mr. Jones, Fat Gut’z) is working on his latest project, Maggie Choo. Situated in Bangrak, the brick vault will be turned into a cabaret-slash-noodle-shop, with sexy burlesque performances and the return of that marvelous blues singer who used to perform at Iron Fairies and Fat Gut’z. We’re betting the entertainment will be top-notch as Sanya Souvanna Phouma (Bed Supperclub, Quince) is also on board.
