The man with the midas touch, Ashley Sutton (Iron Fairies, Clouds and Fat Gut’z), is now going to do cookies, milk and teddy bears. Seriously. Sutton’s latest venture, dubbed Mr. Jones’ Orphanage, is a teddy bear factory and dessert shop—and he plans to open one in Thonglor, then one in K Village. “We buy old antique teddy bears from around the world, rename them, fix them up. I’ve got two old lady chefs from Australia coming over to do cakes and scones. And then some late night chocolate martinis—but it’ll close at 11pm. It’s not a bar,” says Sutton. The décor is “old church turned orphanage,” so there should be plenty of gothic charm to the place.
