For last year’s countdown, the sky-high nightlife venue organized a carnival-themed celebration complete with theatrical performances, and they’re looking to go even bigger this year. You’re guaranteed an amazing view of the fireworks over Marina Bay, too. $88 inclusive of two free drinks.
The new hotel goes all out with their rooftop pool space and throws a classic New Year's party starting pretty early (8:30pm). It's smack in the middle of Orchard, which also means you won't be jostling for bayside space while still getting a view of the fireworks. $50 on the day.
Our version of Times Square, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown is the quintessential New Year countdown spot. There will be a wishing spheres light display installation and fireworks set to music composed for the occasion. The event also kicks the year-long series of events celebrating Singapore’s 50th birthday. Free.

The first floor houses live sets curated by Dunce and features weigh, sub:shaman, Pleasantry, Spacedays and Cashew Chemists, while the second and third floors are a mix of hip hop, house, dancehall, trap, jungle, dangdut and a little bhangra tunes. Expect DJs like Kiat, Shellsuit, Rah, Nez and Finding Niko to spin throughout the night. $20 at the door.
In true Artistry style, usher in the new year with this "Rebirth of Cool" themed party. Expect a playlist full of acid jazz tracks from the likes of Massive Attack, US3, DJ Krush, MC Solaar, Talvin Singh, Thievery Corporation and more. Free.
This alternative New Year's Eve party sees a fabulous drag queen show featuring Becca D'Bus, Fanservia Le'Ronx Mona Kee, Noristar Narcisso and Layona Davenport with music from DJ ZackC. In true New Year's fashion, there's also a countdown show starting at 11:40pm. $35 at the door.
The cheeky Duxton Road bar, famous for their grafitti wall with a mug shot line-up, throws a good ol' fashioned New Year's Eve party full of debauchery. There's tons of beers, wines and cocktails to go round and there's no dress code or cover charge. Free.
If you're looking for something a little more low-key but funky all the same, head to The White Rabbit's The Rabbit Hole bar. Pretty garden setting aside, French DJ Zimmer plays his signature funk tunes. Free.
This intimate New Year's Eve party is undoubtedly where the cool kids will flock to. Pick a spot between Three Buns and Studio 1939 and sip on cocktails with music by DJ Rough. Free.
CHIJMES throws an all-out post-renovation bash with an around the world party. There are the Attagirl! DJs, The Project Band and host Derrick Siu to usher in the new year with lots of pyrotechnics, too. Free.
The famed nightlife enclave gets crazy every New Year’s Eve, so this is the place to go if you really want to party the night away. Hosted by Mediacorp, Class 95 DJ Glenn Ong and 987FM DJ Sonia Chew, there will be live band performances by Goodfellas, colorful street decor, a street parade and roving characters. Free.
In true beachside fashion, Tanjong Beach Club throws an all-out two-day party. Usher in the New Year with a countdown party on the 31st with DJs Sean Doyle and Ritz. Jan 1 has a day party complete with Bloody Marys to nurse your post-party blues. Free.
With an expected turnout of 20,000, this event is reputed to be Asia’s largest beach countdown party. The 12-hour celebration at Siloso Beach will have a foam pool, separate party areas playing trance, house and electro tunes and plenty of food and drink. $48-$98 for VIP tickets.
Another great place to catch the fireworks is the considerably more laid-back, low-slung rooftop bar at Loof. If last year’s party is anything to go by, revelers can expect a fun mix of hip hop, soul and guilty pleasure mash-ups by local DJs. Free.
A favorite DJ of NYC celeb hotspots like Bang Bang Room and PHD spins at the swanky Bang Bang club in Pan Pacific. Usher in the new year with a slew of popular songs and pop those Champagne bottles. $55 before midnight, $65 after midnight.
The swanky bar’s unmissable NYE bash starts with a six-course dinner with oysters, caviar, foie gras torchon, Angus beef and decadent cocktails like a Pomme Sazerac and a Billecart-Salmon Champagne bomb with dark chocolate Sfera. DJ Suzee X keeps the party going with her funky soul house tunes. $250-$450 with free-flow craft cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve Champagne.
Get in on the festive New Year action as DJ Darly Chan spins tunes to take you into 2015 and in true Powder Room style, there's lots of bubbly. Free.
Held at the Atrium Lounge, this party includes a NYE countdown to a midnight balloon drop, with thousands of balloons being released from the 21st floor. There's also a specially created champagne cocktail large enough for a group of 10. $98 including two housepours and a snack.
