The modern Italian restaurant that sits on the Andaman Sea is known for its exclusive seafood and glitzy aesthetics. Frau will be bringing that attractive Italian vibe to 008, where he will be creating exclusive Sardinian tapas to pair with daring new cocktails.
With plans to import all raw materials from his hometown, Sardinia, Frau will be offering up stellar dishes like bluefin tuna belly tartare on avocado mash with sea urchin, salmon eggs, smoked avruga caviar and burrata paired with the Marjoram Fizz (marjoram-infused vodka, white vermouth, honey-glazed carrot cordial and soda). The scallops carpaccio with black truffle, raw asparagus, white balsamic pearls and fresh truffle will be joined with a Limo Spritz, made with white wine, an Aperol-lemon zest cordial and rose lemonade.
The menu is set at B4,950 for five courses and five cocktails, with two seatings at 6pm and 7:30pm
Really digging Frau’s fare? Keep your eyes peel for his long-discussed Acqua Bangkok project.
According to Facebook, the Italian chef is preparing to open a new branch somewhere in the city soon.
