Anderson .Paak is coming to perform in Bangkok for the first time
Let's get glowed up.
In news set to please Bangkok’s long-suffering hip-hop fans, event organizer Have You Heard? has announced it's bringing Anderson .Paak to Bangkok.
The California-hailing rapper and his full band The Free Nationals will take the stage at Voice Space on Jul 23.
Brandon Paak Anderson, better known by the stage name Anderson .Paak, blew up when his 2016 album Malibu was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the Grammy Awards. He'd already made a name for himself internationally with his 2014 album Venice which took old Motown and Stevie Wonder influences in a contemporary funk direction.
He's also known for his collaboration with the Canadian music producer Kaytranada on "Glowed Up" and his work with Ab-Soul and James Blake for "Bloody Waters" from the Black Panther soundtrack.
Anderson .Paak was already confirmed to appear at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival on the last weekend of July alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar and N.E.R.D., leading us to ponder who else could be headed our way.
Early bird tickets are B1,600 on sale at Ticket Melon, with advance tickets rising to B1,800 and at-the-door B2,000. Check out one of his music clips while you ready your credit card.
