Get ready for Singapore's coolest pop-up dining experience
Five reasons why you shouldn’t miss The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival
Clarke Quay is practically synonymous with nightlife in Singapore. Few places can compare to the variety on offer—from craft beer to live music and some of the country’s best clubs—and you know that a night out there is always going to be a big one. Those nights are just about to get bigger with tonnes of options for foodies at The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival from Dec 5 to 9. Here’s why you shouldn’t miss this outdoor pop-up dining event.
Clarke Quay is without a doubt one of Singapore’s liveliest districts, and the center of the action is often its most prominent bridge—Read Bridge. That’s where The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival will take place. Just for the festival, the iconic bridge over the Singapore River will be decked out with Instagrammable decor and LED structures, complementing the unique opportunity to dine under the stars.
Tsui Wah's crispy bun with condensed milk
Speaking of stars, the stars of The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival are the 15 establishments who’ll be putting their best food on show at kiosks on Read Bridge. Among the dishes you’ll get to savor are Asian-influenced tastes such as Tsui Wah’s crispy bun with condensed milk, Ramen Keisuke Lobster King’s rich lobster broth ramen and Swissotel Merchant Court, Singapore’s durian pengat.
RedTail Bar by Zouk's beef brisket bowl
If you’re keen on western flavours, try the dry-aged ribeye with potatoes gratin from The Ranch Steakhouse by Astons or seafood paella from Octapas Spanish tapas bar. Over at RedTail Bar by Zouk, get a taste of the beef brisket bowls (slow-cooked in five-spice) and pick up some pork knuckle with sauerkraut from the recently opened Deutschlander. Feeling particularly adventurous? Take a pit stop at East Treasure for some double-boiled tonic soup with crocodile meat.
Harry's Bar's Jazz Burger
You’ll never go wrong with street eats and comfort food, so be sure to sample Cask & Bangers’ chili crab dip with waffle fries, Cuba Libre’s beef chimichanga, Harry’s Bar’s seaweed chicken wrap with chips, McGettigan’s beef stew, Rodizio Do Brazil’s pork hotdog, Senor Taco’s al pastor tacos and The Pump Room’s beef meatballs with tomato concasse sauce
The Pump Room's Singapore Golden Ale
Of course, it wouldn’t be a night out in Clarke Quay without a few quality beverages, and you can pair your food with tipples like RedTail Bar by Zouk’s Dos Americanos (cold brew, Campari, Grand Marnier and fino sherry), Rodizio Do Brazil’s caipirinha cocktail, The Pump Room’s Singapore Golden Ale and Octapas’ sangria in red or white, just to name a few.
All the bars and restaurants at the Great Clarke Quay FEASTival will be offering special tasting prices—you won’t have a better opportunity to eat and drink your way around Clarke Quay for less.
You’ve got food, you’ve got drinks and now the only thing missing from the complete Clarke Quay experience is entertainment. Bands from Deutschlander, Cuba Libre, Senor Taco, McGettigan’s and Cask & Bangers and DJs from Attica will be there to take care of that. To top things off, there’ll be a daily lucky draw with a staycation, dining vouchers and gym membership up for grabs.
