The market was a hub of the neighborhood before it was forced to close at the end of 2016.

Following the closure of On Nut night market back in Oct 2016, there are now signs of what will be taking its place. The new building which will occcupy the night market's old land is now around half complete, with signs out front stating it’ll be a Century Mall and cinema, with a condominium component as well.

Despite this, a number of stalls are still trying to make a living on the footpath in front of the construction site.

The new On Nut night market is located in Sukhumvit Soi 81, about a 10-minute walk into the soi or B15 motorbike ride. It has been there since the end of the original On Nut night market but definitely isn’t as popular.

Good news for sports fans, though: you can still find the bar with a big projector here, popular with Bangkok’s rugby community.

The On Nut night market used to be a hub for Sukhumvit Soi 81 diners, but closed down at the end of last year during a raft of street market clearances that also included stalls around Siam and Silom.

Take a look at what the market used to be at The People of On Nut Night Market.
