While most popular downloads on the Apple Store and Google Play are from the US and Europe, applications by Thai startup companies are also getting a lot of buzz. From an app that lets you skip long queues at restaurants, to one that helps manage your credit card use, these six nifty downloads will make your life a whole lot easier.

Seekster

The app that helps take the chore out of cleaning

What: If like most of us you're way too tired to clean your apartment after working nine-to-five, then this app is your lifeline. Opt for “General Cleaning” (from B499/2hrs for a one bedroom, one bathroom condo) to find a maid who will be able to sweep, vacuum, dust, wash dishes, put out the trash and clean your bathroom and windows. If you’re looking for more specific cleaning services, then curtain cleaning and dust mite cleaning for beds and sofas are also available. You can even get your AC cleaned (from B499, not including fees for refrigerant refilling) or your kitchen sink fixed through its repair and maintenance services.

QueQ

The app that lets you skip long queues

What: Waiting in line at overcrowded restaurants and banks is such a drag, but now it can be easily avoided. This app allows you to pick up a queue ticket with just a few clicks. To get started, simply pick a nearby restaurant (the list will include restaurants within two kilometers of your location), choose the number of seats, then click “Get Q.” You'll then be given a ticket with your queue number and the number of people who are ahead of you. When your slot approaches, the nifty app will send you a notification to allow you to arrive on time. For banks, just select the type of transaction, click Get Q and you’re set.

Skootar

The app that acts as your professional business messenger

What: This app lets you find a reliable motorbike messenger who can run business errands for you anywhere in Bangkok, from pickup and delivery of documents, post and parcels, to collecting cheques, paying bills at payment counters and contacting government offices. If you're nervous about handing over your important documents to a stranger, then fear not! Skootar claims that all their messengers are screened and trained before starting the job, plus they’re controlled by ratings from the app’s users for added peace of mind. You can choose to place your order right away (within 45 minutes) or in advance by entering your pick up location and destination, then selecting the service type. Within a few minutes, the app will match you with the closest and most reliable driver for the job, and you can track the job status in real-time.

Piggipo

The app that works as your personal finance secretary

What: If you suck at keeping tabs on your credit card spending, then perhaps you should give this app a try. Piggipo helps you manage and monitor your credit card use by combining all your cards into one application. The app will show each card’s spending and remaining balance on the very first page, plus it’ll show your past transactions, send you bill reminders and spending alerts, and even help decide which credit card you should use at the time according to the card’s due date and balance. Piggipo supports multiple banks including SCB, KBank, Citibank, Krungsri and Bangkok Bank.

All Thai Taxi

The app that offers you stress-free taxi rides

What: This app from big-name bus service Nakhonchai Air aims to provide an alternative to Bangkok's old taxi firms that often send run-down, gas-fueled Toyota Altis manned by rude or unaccommodating drivers. The firm instead opts for Hybrid Toyota Prius cars equipped with GPS tracking, chauffeur identification data, a speed regulator and passenger screens. The app charges B40 for the service and a standard starting rate of B35, with a limited speed of no more than 90 km/hr.—a novelty when compared to your typical Bangkok taxi ride!

Virtual Wine Cellar

The app that delivers wine to your door within two hours

What: The man behind the app, Aman Sachdev, is calling it Bangkok’s cheapest way to order wine straight to your door, and it’s a doddle to use. From the home screen, simply set the price range you want (from B650 to B23,000) then add in other parameters like type of wine, country, region, vintage and brand. The app then comes back with all the available bottles and promises to deliver them anywhere in Bangkok (from 10am-10pm) within a couple of hours. The wines themselves come from the cellar of Sachdev’s restaurant, La Casa Nostra on Sathorn, which is a good thing.
