Things kicks off with The Trial after Kafka's at Democrazy Theatre Studio, where the audience is asked to dress in black, and the intriguing In the Grey Room at Crescent Moon Space, both opening Jan 30. Democrazy Theatre Studio marks its sixth anniversary with a play by Dumkerng Thitapiyasak which draws inspiration from German author Franz Kafka's novel The Trial, named after the sign in Thai language placed above a consonant to silence its sound, with Dujdao Vadhanapakorn Boonyai as art director. Audience is required to dress in dark tones. Advance and group purchases get discount. Tickets at 081-441-5718.  
 
In the Grey Room (Jan 30-Feb 4, Feb 6-9)
Orada Lelanuja writes and performs alongside Athapol Anunthavorasakul and Saifa Tanthana in this play directed by Sukanya Pheansri about the ongoing relationship between three people inside a room. Reservations at 081-929-4246 and 083-123-6331.
 
The Office (Jan 31-Feb2)
The annual stage play by Drama Club Thammasat this year presents a comedy about a myth-believing whitening cream company whose employees need to find their lost sacred statue before their angry boss returns. Reservations at 094-572-4275.
 
Produced by Burapha University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts and directed by Apirak Chaipanha, Sanchai Uaesilapa and Khalid Midam lead the cast in a performance of the play written by King Vajiravudh. Reservations at 086-980-2393.
 
Ruk Kon La Kang (Feb 13-16, 20-23; Feb 27-Mar 2)
Club Sudvisai theater troupe presents a play comprising five short plays on the subject of love on different sides by five directors. Parnrat Kritchanchai, Farida Jiraphan, Sarut Komalittipong, Wichaya Artamat and Jaturachai Srichanwanpen. Reservations at 086-787-7155.
