Meet some of the young brigade changing the game in Thailand.

Forbes recently announced its inaugural 30 Under 30 Asia list, ranging from people who work in the media, to savvy entrepreneurs and more. The list recognizes "promising young leaders, daring entrepreneurs and game changers" across 10 categories. In all, five Thais made the cut, placing in the Enterprise Technology, Manufacturing & Energy and Arts sectors. Here they are:

1. Nikki Lohitnavy (Manufacturing & Energy)

 

At 28, Nikki Lohitnavy has overseen winemaking at Granmonte Vineyard and Winery in Khao Yai for ten years. After graduating from the University of Adelaide and Hickenbotham Roseworthy Winery, she became Thailand’s first female winemaker and the only female Thai entrepreneur to make Forbes’ list. She’s the current Viticulture and Winemaking Coordinator of the Asian Wine Producer Association. Read an old interview here.

2. Tada Hengsapkul (The Arts)

Tada Hengsapkul, also 28, is a Bangkok-based photographer notorious for his provocative images which aim to touch on social issues. Born out of Korat and educated at Pohchang Academy of Art, the young photographer has had his works exhibited in New York, Australia, China and Southeast Asia. Tada’s works often include absurd scenarios and nudity, all of which are used to portray a strong message. Read an old interview here.

 

3. Amarit Charoenphan (Enterprise Technology)

Amarit Charoenphan and his older brother formed HUBBA, Thailand’s first co-working space back in 2012. Since then the brand has expanded from its Ekkamai hub to seven locations throughout Bangkok. Read an old interview here.

 

4. Korawad Chearavanont (Enterprise Technology)

At 21, Korawad Chearavanont is the youngest of Thais to make the list. He is both the Founder & CEO Eko Communications, a workplace communication tool which combines emails and mobile messaging in an easy-to-search synchronized format.  
 

5. Lusarun Silpsrikul (Enterprise Technology)

Lusarun Silpsrikul

Lusarun Silpsrikul designed a social commerce platform Page365, which over a period of two years became a market leader with expansions outside Thailand to both Vietnam and Indonesia. The platform makes use of Facebook, Instagram and LINE to connect small regional merchants with over 12 million buyers and 60,000 stores.
