A slice of zen in central Bangkok.

Kempinski Hotels has just unveiled plans to open a new hotel in Bangkok this May.

Located at Sindhorn Village—the fast-emerging luxury hub, centered on the Velaa Community Mall—in the rapidly changing Langsuan neighborhood, the Sindhorn Kempinski hotel will be the brand’s second in Bangkok (Siam Kempinski, the home to such top-ranking venues as Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin). This one aims to provide something of a sanctuary in central Bangkok.

With a smooth, curving design and interiors inspired by classic Thai elements, from benjarong porcelain to flower motifs, the hotel will offer 285 spacious guestrooms. The smallest starts at 66 sq meters, and all feature private balconies.

Expect four dining outlets, including Flow, which will serve plant-based cuisine using local ingredients, and Firefly Bar, a cocktail and wine spot decked out in chandeliers, hanging plants and fine wood paneling.

The real highlight here might be the spa, wellness and fitness center, Resense. A sprawling 4,000 sq meters, Resense will boast 26 treatment rooms, salt saunas, cold chambers, aromatic steam rooms, a mud room and much more. The fitness program, meanwhile, offers everything from HIIT training to yoga.
