Thai residents will be eligible for free condoms and birth control pills this April.

To prevent sexually transmitted disease and unplanned pregnancies, the National Health Security Office (NHSO) will provide tools for Thais aged between 15-59 so that they can get laid safely.

The program includes free contraceptives of up to 13 blister packs per year or 10 individual condoms per week; there are four sizes available from 49mm, 52mm, 54mm, and 56mm. NHSO will distribute these items at local health centers, private hospitals, pharmacies, and primary care units.

The contraceptive pills will be distributed for free starting Feb. 1 while the condoms will be available from April, according to Jakkrit Ngowsiri of NHSO
