After the horrific floods last year, we’re happy that the BMA has taken note and plans to avoid similar shenanigans in the future. Governor Sukhumbhand recently announced that three new drainage tunnels will be built over the next five years to combat flooding in the city. The new tunnels will be in the Ratchadaphisek-Suttisarn area, the Suan Luang Rama 9 area and the Don Muang area. Unfortunately, work on the latter two won’t begin until next year, but we can always hang out at Ratchada in the meantime.
