This week you will mainly love your city for its…

Police Museum
We all know how much Bangkokians love museums and we all know how much Bangkokians love the police, so what better idea than to combine the two. The planned museum should be open next month and will aim to shine a flashlight into the lives of the Thai police and their work, well the legal stuff anyway, from the Sukhothai era right up to the present day. There’s even a make-believe police station for kids who want to wear the brown uniform when they grow up. While all this doesn’t sound very arresting, the positive is the museum’s location inside the beautiful Chitrada Villa, in Rattanakosin, built in 1907 and sporting a mix of Roccoco and Baroque styles. So even if the truncheons and handcuffs don’t grab you, the classical architecture just might.
