Grab a cup of coffee or a cold-pressed juice and then learn paint pouring or customize a t-shirt.

We can all use an escape from the big city every now and then, usually to a place with more nature than concrete and cars. A new cafe-slash-crafts work shop in Udom Suk is looking to provide that feeling a little closer to home.

Cave Craft Cafe, found on Sukhumvit 103 (often better known as Udom Suk road), takes design cues from the cave and waterfall enclaves that you’ll find around the nation’s national parks. The idea here is to create a cafe that completely isolates visitors from the feelings of the outside world, with the cave covering the city scape and the sound of the waterfall covering up the fast paced sounds of city life outside.

It also takes a distinctive lean to the artsy side, with a host of regular workshops and creative spaces to help eat up your time between bites of food or drinks. There’s a lot here, like candle pouring, crafting organic soap, experimenting with paint pouring on canvas, or personalizing t-shirts, mugs, and cups, the venue provides all the necessary tools and space where you can spend memorable time crafting up your next gift or personal masterpiece (or horror). Additionally, perfume and diffuser blending workshops allow you to create custom aromatic products to take home.

One of  the highlights is the professional perfume making workshop with hands-on class for serious perfume enthusiasts. You’ll learn the basics of what makes a perfume great, and how to use combinations of over 160 fragrance blends and essential oils to create custom scents. The whole perfume class takes about three hours and is entirely hands-on.

This isn’t just a place to hide from the city smog and unleash your inner artist, the cafe takes pride in its food and drinks, too. They offer premium coffee, including a house blend of Brazilian and Columbian beans, nutritious acai bowls, and refreshing cold-pressed juices made from fresh local fruit that is never frozen.

It all comes together to form a pretty unique package as far as Bangkok cafes go. From what we can see, there isn’t quite this same combination anywhere in Bangkok. It’s a cool, natural feeling architecture, with top-quality coffee, fresh healthy food, cold pressed juice, and enough workshop space to make nearly any kind of craft you want.
