In Kalasin, a woman is arrested for smuggling meth inside a prison for her husband by stuffing the drugs inside fried squid balls. Samalee, 43, visits her husband in jail, bringing along a plastic bag full of look shin. Her husband is in jail for the third time for the use of drugs, and has been there for many years. The police become suspicious of the look shin and pull one apart for inspection. They find pills of ya ba inside, protected by small plastic bags. Each ball contains 10 pills, or some 900 pills in the 93 look shin. Police have detained Samalee, The Daily News reported.

In Chonburi, a man climbs onto his truck to lift electric cables, is electrocuted and catches fire. Thitiphat Aroochlertphaisarn, 64, is driving his Heno truck loaded with sugarcane from a nearby field, which is destined to a factory in Rayong. The sugarcane is piled so high, the truck is blocked by high-voltage electric lines. Thitiphat climbs onto the truck to lift the cables, but witnesses see him slip and fall onto the cables. He is electrocuted and the sugar cane catches fire, scorching him and part of the truck before rescue arrives. They must wait for the electricity to be switched off to remove his charred remains from the vehicle, the Pattaya Daily News reported.

In Pattaya, a man climbs onto a roof to watch his friend having sex, ends up in jail for possession. X (not his real name), a 17-year-old, who is half Thai and half German, is staying next door to a friend’s room. His friend comes home with his girlfriend and X assumes they will have sex. High on weed, he begins to climb onto the roof to get a view of the action, but the roof collapses. X ends up slightly wounded and a concerned shopkeeper calls the police. Upon questioning, X is clearly intoxicated, so police search him, find 3.3 grams of marijuana in his possession and book him, the Pattaya Daily News reported.

In Bangkok, a man is caught stealing underwear from disabled athletes. Akarachai, 40, is an archer who competes in the Paralympics. He starts noticing his underwear disappearing when he leaves them out to dry. After returning from a competition in Myanmar, all his underpants go missing. Akarachai finally spots the thief on Tuesday, and screams out to friends and neighbours to help capture him--but the thief manages to escape. The day after, Akarchai and his friends come up with a scheme to capture the thief. They leave out many more underwear to dry, and the thief does indeed return to snatch them. This time, the athletes catch him and call the police, who find over 100 pairs of underwear in the man's car, Khao Sod reported.
