The BTS service announced on Twitter at 1:44pm that services for the BTS Sukhumvit, Gold, and Silom lines would be closed following the tremors felt in Bangkok at approximately 1:30pm earlier today.

Videos circulated online of train cars shaking heavily at Bangkok BTS stations, but no accidents have been reported. The message from the BTS did not supply further information for how long services will be suspended. Immediately following the incident, commuters were asked to exit stations.
Tremors originating from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar were felt in Bangkok, causing a number of incidents around the city, including damage to structures, rooftop pools emptying into the streets, evacuations, and the collapse of a 30-floor building under construction in Chatuchak.

As many as 43 workers may be trapped in the collapsed building, according to a statement from the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, as reported by the Thai Enquirer.

Myanmar is still reeling from the effects of the earthquake, the toll of which is still unknown, but there have been reports of building and bridge collapses in population centers.
