La Fete
Bangkok's biggest cultural festival is back. From concerts and dance to art and multimedia exhibitions, the 10th edition of the La Fête Franco-Thai Cultural Festival 2014, organized by The French Embassy in Thailand, will see events pop up around town from Jun 4-Jul 6. See all the highlights here.

Filmvirus Wildtype
Filmvirus and The Reading Room select over 30 overlooked short films from the submission archive, focusing on the works of a rough, raw or strange nature, to be screened over two days, plus discussion. The program will be available at the screening.

The Japanese musician and producer Yoshiki Hayashi, best known as the co-founder of heavy metal band X Japan, brings to Thailand his latest classical work in collaboration with Sir George Martin.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch
In exciting news for theater lovers, a new Thai production of John Cameron Mitchell’s musical-cum-movie will hit the stage this June, promising to be a "glam rock musical party." The story of Hedwig follows a rock singer who undergoes a sex change to escape from Communist-era Berlin to the American Midwest when he falls in love with a US soldier. Hedwig be performed by familiar face Chanudol Suksatit , who'll be joined by veteran actress Ratchawin Wongwiriya.

The writer, cartoonist, designer and founder of Dudesweet, Pongsuang “Note” Kunprasop, perhaps the most influential figure in Bangkok’s indie scene, exhibits for the first time his comic paintings, channeling his life experiences, poignant moments and music that influences him into imaginary vinyl record covers.
