They're in the New York Times, they're in Asia's 50 Best, they're everywhere!

Last week, we were thrilled about Singapore's performance on the Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 list. This week, our feeds are flooded with great news about Singaporeans winning prizes, getting applauded around the region and around the world, too. That they are all either chefs or barmen is just an added bonus (though it does mean their establishments will be hard to get a table at). Here are the ones to watch.

The chef of "gastro-botanica" cuisine temple Corner House entered San Pellegrino's Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list at #17, a rare honor for a born-and-bred Singaporean chef.

Ditto our longtime sweetheart and chef at Wild Rocket, who entered the list at #38. Also, he looks great in a suit.

A rare local female chef on the world chef—we couldn't be more thrilled that the sweets master at Les Amis and Tarte was Asia's Best Pastry Chef 2016.

Gan Guo Yi

One half of the couple that runs the Jigger & Pony empire, Guo Yi has a lot to be excited about. The regional offshoot of the World's 50 Best Bars list, Asia's 50 Best Bars is going to announce its inaugural rankings on Mar 31. It's no secret, however, that several of the Gan Guoyi and her husband Indra Kantono's bars are on the list: Jigger & Pony, Sugarhall and Gibson. They also run Flagship and Humpback.

We've been drinking craft beer at the Chinatown Food Centre for years, but we're thrilled that the New York Times finally got the memo on the wonderful bar belonging to the wonderful Daniel Goh.
