This week you will mainly love your city for its…
2016 Blue Line
In case you’re not excited enough about the opening of the Bang-Na extension on the Sukhumvit line, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority has come out and said that the blue line will open on schedule, in 2016, with construction starting in 2012. That’s despite the fact that only 68% of the necessary land expropriation has taken place, so the MRTA still needs to beg a lot of people to kindly move out. The blue line will extend the MRT from Bang Sue to Bang Phlat and Tha Phra, and Hua Lamphong to Tha Phra and Bang Kae. The 27-kilometer extension will cost B52.46 billion.
