For those in the creative industry, having your freedom of movement stifled right now can be frustrating. Despite being shut in and isolated for the good of the society, however, this is a unique opportunity for artists to collaborate and create something special. The Stay Home Film Festival is attempting to foster just such a creative environment.

This online film festival is a creative platform for filmmakers to share their most creative and evocative works created during this once-in-a-lifetime lockdown event. You can create anything—funny, heartwarming, scary, beautiful, hopeful, inspirational or otherwise. All films are free to submit.

Here are the rules of the contest:

1. The film must be no longer than 60 seconds (including titles and credits).
2. The film must be made in quarantine and inspired by the current conditions.
3. Any subject matter, genre, style or language is welcome.
4. While not required, subtitles can be added to your film, particularly English subtitles for non-English language films.

The judges for this event are actor-producer RJ Brown, director-producer Tom Waller and comedian-magicians Tada and Charles from “Charles The French.”

Even if you don’t submit a film, keep your eyes peeled for the results.
