The 100-rai Woodland Project in Nakhon Pathom is also home to a beautiful, privately-owned museum known as Woodland Muang Mai (www.woodlandmuangmai.com).

Based on the "woodmen tales" portrayed in thousands of intricate woodcarvings taken from the collection of owner Narong Thewphaingarm and his ancestors, the museum promises a spiritual and religious journey.

Aside from the large collection of impeccably carved aged wood, you'll also find the Woodland Village, where you can buy food and handcrafted souvenirs, and a wooden cathedral the owner claims is one of the largest in the world.

Entrance for Thai adults is B300 and foreigners B650.
