A new stop-off right beside Amphawa Floating Market.

After converting part of his Chuchai Buri Sri Amphawa (034-129-900, www.chuchaiburi.com) hotel into a community mall at the end of last year, gemstone millionaire Chuchai Chairitthilert has now unveiled the property’s restyled guest rooms.

Like the rest of the project, they feature a hodgepodge of styles. Rates range from B5,297 for superior rooms to B22,363 for the 69-sq-meter executive room.

In the community mall, you’ll find stores selling local products as well as the Thai-meets-Western restaurant Na Kid Tueng (Wine I Miss You) and Sala Chalerm Kin, which specializes in tantalizing Thai desserts.

On the same plot of land, Chuchai has also restored a 200-year-old Thai pavilion into an exhibition and function space called Chai Nataraj, and opened Larn Sattha (Faith Square) and Love Square, which are home to Hindu shrines where visitors can go and wish for good fortune.
