Traveling to Thailand? 4 reasons why you should download the TAGTHAi app, your all-access pass to the country’s top restaurants, attractions, and activities
See, eat, and participate in all that Thailand has to offer at a fraction of the cost
Here at BK, we’ve downloaded and tried numerous tourist-friendly apps that boast exclusive deals and perks only to ultimately delete them because they were, well, boring and useless. So imagine our reaction when we tried out the new TAGTHAi app and were genuinely surprised that, unlike some of its counterparts, it actually lived up to its promises in terms of both saving us money and covering cool activities that we actually want to do.
How does it work? After downloading the TAGTHAi app, you’ll have immediate access to the free perks (which we’ll get to in just a minute). Additionally, also within the app, you can purchase a specific “City Pass” for Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Phuket (or all three if you’re exploring the whole country) that has loads of city-specific freebies.
Let’s start with the biggest and most obvious appeal: your holiday will be considerably cheaper. If you’re the kind of traveler who likes to do everything and pack as many activities as possible into a short period of time, you’ll most likely find that a lot (if not all) of your to-do list is covered by the city passes. Just to give you a rough idea of how much money you’ll save, the activities covered under the Bangkok Day Pass have an estimated cumulative value of US$786 (B28,315). You know how it’s really value for money? Well, you can’t realistically redeem all 20+ offers within the expiration period – you’re likely to max out at US$79 (B2,854) worth of activities in a single day, even if you dedicate ALL day to pass activities. With the pass costing just US$26.16 (B942), you’re only paying a fraction of the value you get.
To reiterate what we said about these passes covering a huge range of activities
We mentioned earlier that you’ll get some free perks just by downloading the app, and one of them is a free seven-day tourist sim card which you can pick up from different locations throughout Bangkok, including at Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports. App users also have access to a special exchange rate at various KBank locations, which, again, are also available at both of Bangkok’s major airports.

The city pass fees are one-time and all-inclusive! Let’s face it, we’ve all fallen victim to passes like these, where only after purchasing it are you told that you actually have to pay extra if you want to do a specific activity or visit an attraction you really wanted to see. And given the range of deals that are included in each of the city passes, it’s normal to be wary about those hidden extra fees — but that’s not the case with TAGTHAi, rest assured!
The good people at TAGTHAi have given us (and by us, we mean you readers) the promo code BKOFF20 for 20% off any pass purchased via the TAGTHAi app. It’s limited to the first 200 users (one code per person), and must be purchased and activated by the end of December 2022. Happy traveling!
