A new way to explore Laos’s incredible nature scenery comes from a soon-to-launch trekking experience dubbed The Nests (goo.gl/8VW5AI).

 

Run by Nam Nern Night Safari Laos (www.namet.org), the two- to five-day treks through the forests of Nam Et Phou Louey National Protected Area, in the country’s northeast, include overnight stays in cozy spherical baskets—the so-called "nests."

 

Trips will only operate in dry season, from October to June. Three-day rates start from B14,136 per person, getting cheaper with bookings of two (B9,441 per person) or four (B6,438 per person).
