Head up north and into nature this winter at Khaokho’s latest glamping spot The Campville (www.fb.com/thacampvillekhaokho).

Here, strings of fairy lights encircle the 63 safari-style tents, which come with sizable mattresses capable of accommodating either two (B1,500/night) or four (B2,500/night) guests.

There’s no AC, but fortunately temperatures in this mountainous part of Phetchabun get as low as 20 degrees Celsius during the winter time.

An a la carte menu is available for breakfast and, come evening, guests are encouraged to come together in the communal field area to enjoy live music while barbecuing their own dinner.

With gorgeous views over the surrounding hills and twinkling lights hanging over head, it’s rather romantic, too.

Khaokho is around 5.5 hours' drive north of Bangkok.
