This Maldives resort's new bar is the perfect spot for star gazing
It was recently voted the most Instrammable hotel in the world.
The Anantara Kihavah (kihavah-maldives.anantara.co.th) made its name with super-luxurious private pool villas set on stilts over perfect, azure waters. The resort’s latest addition, however, asks that you turn your attention to the night sky.
The aptly named Sky overwater observatory combines a glitzy cocktail bar and research-grade 16” Meade LX200 telescope. Thanks to the resort’s location just above the equator, star gazers can enjoy both the Northern and Southern hemispheres’ full natural light shows, with guidance from an on-site “sky guru.”
Ponder the vastness of the universe with one of the bar’s signature island cocktails in hand. On offer now till Dec 22 is the “Stars & Sky” package starting at B49,860 per night (minimum three consecutive nights), which includes private session with the sky guru, massages, cinema under the stars and round-trip seaplane transfers from Male Airport.
The resort was recently voted the most Instagrammable hotel in the world in a contest run by Luxury Travel Advisor, a high-end travel website.
