And each villa comes with a sunken, heated pool.

Khao Yai is Thailand's third-largest and one of the most-visited national parks (it's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site) that's only a two-hour drive from Bangkok. The hillylandscape has fertile valleys, waterfalls, lots of wildlife and is even home to an award-winning vineyard.

Another exciting reason to go now are these cool new villas for your next group holiday. Escape Khao Yai now has pretty, sun-drenched two-bedroom villas with high ceilings, wooden furniture and grey slate walls. Each of the new villas are 263 sq. m. in size, with two bedrooms and bathrooms, a pantry, a spacious living room and a private sunken pool. The resort itself has plenty to offer, too. Aside from daytime nature walks, there is a restaurant serving farm-to-table dishes, a rooftop bar and a communal pool with a well-stocked bar. There is also a fitness center offering classes like indoor cycling and boxing.

Through Aug 31, the resort is offering introductory rates of around $650 per night Sun-Fri and $729 on Saturdays.
