The experience combines Thai herbs with the Mexican temazcal (it’s Nahuatl for “house of heat”), a sweat lodge from ancient times. The sauna/steam experience promises to purify the body and cleanse the soul. 

 

Recently renovated, the spa’s five pavilions are sectioned into seven treatment rooms, each decorated with natural wood that’s accented by warm lighting. The space has all the tranquility of a Zen temple, austerity substituted for luxury, that commodity W excels in.

 

Try the 90-minute AWAY massage, a signature treatment using essential oils and warm stones that will flush out your stress and reawaken your senses (B3,900).

 

The treatment concludes at W’s Tonic Bar with a delicious mocktail concocted of Thai herbs.
