You don't have to go starkers when you visit, but you'll have a sustainable, eco-friendly holiday experience like no other.

The naked Stables Private Reserve that's opening in October will be located up in the mountains in Moganshan (a former colonial retreat now finding favor once again with the expat crowd), less than three hours away from Shanghai.

It's sprawling 60-acre facility set amid tea and bamboo plantations, and has 121 rooms in earth huts and tree-top villas built with sustainable materials, as well as an Asian-African restaurant, a spa and wellness center and of course, an equestrian center.

Rooms are available from RMB2,600 ($490) a night. To find out more about the naked experience, visit www.nakedretreats.cn.
