Bangkok suddenly becomes the favorite city for luxurious hotel brands. The newest addition is St. Regis Bangkok, a super swanky hotel perched on Ratchadamri Road overlooking the Royal Bangkok Sport Club. As we went to the exclusive press preview yesterday (Mar 30), we share with you what you can expect from this new hiso hotel.

From its 47 floors, the hotel occupies floors 12-24 while upper floors are resident units (on sale from B69 million for three-bedroom). Despite the dry, glass exterior, the interior decoration is warm and classy with classic-style furniture, warm lights and mirrors with Thai touches everywhere if you notice, from walls padded with Thai silk to wallapers.

Sleepover
There are eight rooms types available: Deluxe, Executive Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, Metropolitan Suite, St. Regis Suite, Caroline Astor Suite, John Jacob Astor Suite and Royal Suite with a space ranging from 45 sq meters to 250 sq meters. Among all room types, the highlight is probably Caroline Astor Suite, named after the mother of the founder of St. Regis, which are corner rooms for every floor where you get better view. Rooms are floored wirth real wood for warmer touches and use classy Thai-Chinese style furniture made from dark colored wood.

Upscale travelers should be in love with the century-old St. Regis Butler Service that you can ask him/her to serve any (proper) things from ordering a glass of orange juice to packing your luggage. The service is for every room.

Dine & Wine
There are six F&B outlets in total, of which only four are currently open for guests. Viu serves up grills made from “catch of the day” ingredients while St. Regis Bar is where you enjoy cocktails, both come with a stunning panorama of Royal Bangkok Sport Club. St. Regis Bar is where you'll get to try "Siam Mary," the Bangkok version of Bloody Mary originally invented at St. Regis New York in 1904. Wine lovers might love to indulge in Decanter wine bar with its more than 300 selections of reds and whites. We are expecting for the arrival of Zuma Bangkok, our version of the famous Japanese restaurant from London, and Jojo that offers an authentic Italian cuisine in a private setting.

Pampering
On the 15th floor there is Elemis Spa where a host of treatments are on offer. Elemis Spa at St. Regis will be the first Elemis Spa in Southeast Asia and the forth in the world.

The introduction room rates start at B7,300 with daily breakfast or two-course dinner, free internet, B1,000 voucher for use at Elemis Spa and complimentary upgrades. Every guest gets a fast track immigration service at Suvarnabhumi Airport, too.
