It seems like Centara (www.centarahotelsresorts.com) is ditching its long-term relationship with the Accor Group as the brand gains increasing market share. Since Jan 1, all three Accor branded hotels in the group: Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Sofitel Centara Grand Hua Hin and Novotel Hat Yai will be rebranded as Centara Grand and Centara hotels. The name change also comes with renovations, which are already completed at Centara Grand Bangkok, and Centara Grand Hua Hin, which has more hi-tech facilities while maintaining its authentic 1920s charm.
