On Jul 15, the Thai government will launch a stimulus package to boost domestic tourism. Thai nationals with a Krung Thai Bank account will be able to claim subsidies and rebates on travel and accommodation. Claimants will receive 40 percent off room rates (capped at B3,000/night for up to five nights) when staying at registered hotels outside of their home province, while subsidies for other services, including food, will be capped at B600 per room per night. On top of this, registered passengers can claim back up to 40 percent of their air fare, or B1,000 per seat. Participating hotels, attractions and restaurants are listed on the Agoda app and the scheme’s “We Travel Together” website, where the public can register as of Jul 15. The scheme will run until Oct 21, 2020.

Featured deals include a complimentary second night's stay at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok when you book between Jul 18-20 for stays through Aug 31, plus breakfast, late check-out and early check-in, and a complimentary B3,000 hotel credit for Standard Room stays (B4,990/night) or B4,500 credit for Grand Executive Suite stays (B7,490/night—call 02-254-1234 to book). Anantara is also on board, allowing registered participants to claim up to 40 percent or B3,000 per night off hotel stays across Thailand as well as B600 free hotel credit, valid on stays from Jul 20 through Oct 31 via their website.
