Hip designer resort The Library has added a new bar called Drink Gallery (The Library Koh Samui, Chaweng Beach Rd., 077-422-299. Open daily 11am-1am. www.thelibrary.co.th). Just a couple of weeks old, the bar is decked out in pop art, chanderliers and raw-wood furniture for that perfect SoHo gallery vibe. Accordingly, the drinks list focuses on wine and cocktails, while the music is soft chill-out tunes. The place closes early but makes for a nice warm-up option before you explore the nearby Soi Green Mango, the beating heart of Samui’s nightlife. It will also be hosting a gig by The Karen Devroop Jazz Quartet from South Africa on Oct 16 as part of the Samui International Jazz Festival.
