It was meant to open on Nov 9, but the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011 (www.royalflora2011.com) has now delayed its grand opening to Dec 14, due to the floods. The event will last through Mar 14, 2012. Those who have already purchased air tickets and booked hotels can still visit the expo’s park but some special exhibitions and events won’t have opened yet. There is, however, a new daily promotion offering 50% discounts on the entry fee (B100 from B200) for visitors from a particular province: for Bangkokians, it’s on Saturday, Dec 17.
