1. The amazing beaches and Andaman Sea

You've never been able to reach Myanmar's Andaman coastline so easily. As well as the unspoiled beaches stretching all along the coast, you can now dive in a splendid underwater world. FlyMya has two diving trips to Myanmar’s most famous beaches: Ngwe Saung Beach, a five-hour drive from Yangon, and Ngapali Beach, a 50-minute flight from Yangon. Both offer white sands and great scuba diving and snorkeling. Book the Nyapali diving trip here and Ngwe Saung Diving trip here.

2. Cycling around Yangon

Shwedagon Pagoda is a must-visit, as are so many other sites in Yangon. Explore the city to its fullest by hopping on a bike. FlyMya actually has two options for bike trips: the half-day Yangon Island and Rivers tour and full-day Greater Yangon Bike Explorer tour. Both promise an in-depth sightseeing tour visiting nearby villages, Chinese temples, pagodas and rice fields along the river delta. The route is mostly flat and on paved roads but full of adventures.

Have you ever tried Yangon's night-time street food or been to its hottest nightclubs? FlyMya's Lively Yangon Nightlife option shows you both the conservative and contemporary side to Yangon after dark. Starting at 5pm in Chinatown, you'll get to chow down on the best local street food, from meaty barbecue to grilled fish, chicken tempura and crab masala, before heading out for some drinks in the city.

4. Bagan from above

Your grand trip to Myanmar is not complete until you visit Bagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. You can explore Bagan both on land and in the sky from day till night! Choose to start the day with FlyMyan’s bird’s eyes view hot air balloon ride, before taking the Scenic Cycling tour, which allows you to go deeper into the nearby villages. If you want to see how Pagan Kingdom was like in the old day, then don't miss the Dandaree show, which tells the story of the Great King Anawrahta. Debuted in November 2014, the show has now become a permanent fixture at Bagan Golden Palace. Before the day is over, don't miss FlyMya’s Sundowner with Bagan Dynasty, which combines the splendid sunset with fewer crowds, majestic views and a post-show dinner.

5. Cruising the lake

Life above the water at Inle Lake is always the top highlight of a trip to Myanmar. But apart from typical tour that takes you from village to village, FlyMya offers more in-depth tours of Inle Lake, such as the Mysterious Ancient Indein and Hidden Part of the Lake package, which includes destinations around the lake such as the ancient Indein Pagodas and stupa near Indein Creek as well as floating villages and floating vegetation farms.

6. The mysterious kingdom of Mandalay

This last royal capital of Myanmar is so filled with history-related attractions that it takes days to finish it all. FlyMya gives you plenty of different leisure tour routes in Mandalay including the Excursion to Amarapura, Ava and Sagaing. This route allows you explore the ancient capital of Myanmar's temples, craft workshops, Maha Ganda Yone Buddhist monastery, Inwa ruins and U Bein Bridge—the world’s longest wooden bridge at over 2-kilometers. Mandalay is also home to world’s largest book, which has 1,460 pages and is 1.5 meters tall, and stands in the grounds of Kuthodaw Pagoda at the foot of Mandalay Hill. Other places to explore include Mt. Popa, Maha Myat Muni Paya Temple and Shwenandaw Monastery.

7. Sampling Myanmar’s wonderful wineries

While most travel itineraries focus on historical sites, few of them take you to see the transformations being made in the country, like the new wine-producing region of Red Mountain Winery. FlyMya mixes the old and the new with its market and winery tour, which includes a visit to Inle Lake followed by the grape farm at Red Mountain Winery in Nyaung Shwe. Here you will see tribes workingoin the farm before tasting the signature wine and enjoying lunch or dinner with picturesque views of the mountain near Inle Lake.

8. Colonial cool in Pyin Oo Lwin

The rarely visited Pyin Oo Lwin hill station was a popular British retreat during colonial times. With its cool climate, this small town became a favorite summer residence of the British Government in Myanmar. Colonial homes and schools still stand, but the top destinations are the gorgeous Kandawgyi botanical gardens and Pwe Kout Waterfall. The town also has some unique horse carriages, organic coffee plantations and original knitwear . Book your trip with FlyMa while in Mandalay here.

9. Forging your own path with a private road trip

Sure, everyone has their own way of traveling. FlyMya offers a fixed-rate price for car rental with a driver to take you around all the major destinations like Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay. Their cars are air-con equipped and in top condition, from Toyota Vios to more luxurious Toyota Crowns, vans and buses. The rate is also incredibly cheap. Four-hour rental fare at Bagan starts $17.90 (B690) for a saloon with 1-3 pax.

10. Celebrating Songkran with the neighbors

If you're still looking for something to do this Songkran, then why not check out Myanmar, where they celebrate the festival at the exact same time as Thailand. Called Thingyan, the celebration runs for over a week, Apr 11-20, and allows the usually reserved locals to let their hair down and splash each other. Just like Bangkok, expect cars equipped with water tanks ready to make war on the side of the road. You'll find fun activities all around the country, but the most intense action is in Yangon, where you'll also find lots of traditional activities and music events.
