Between September 12-15, more than 300 of the region's leading surfers will be dropping in on Phuket for the Quiksilver Thailand Surf Competition. In its fourth year, the event is now part of the ASEAN Surfing Championship and its increasing popularity and size has seen it move from Kata Beach to the bigger and more bustling Patong Beach. As well as watching the pros ride the waves you can also learn how to do it yourself, thanks to the mini surfing courses on offer, along with a series of fashion shows and live music concerts.
