Shrouded in the lush green countryside of Phetchaburi are the eight cabins of Riverbed Cabin Resort (riverbedcabins.com).

The cabins, which are built with Russian teakwood, have a Scandinavian minimalism to them and come in three variaties which include a bedroom, a kitchen, a dining area and a sofa that can turn into a queen-sized bed starting at B4,200; and another that is a studio for B3,600.

Wake up to yoga on the riverbank or join the outdoor body combat class, which, conducted to a pumped-up playlist, the resort calls a “healthy party.” Swim in the large pool that looks out onto the river and dine at the poolside restaurant that specializes in barbecue and seafood.

Phetchaburi is around three hours' drive south of Bangkok.
