The perfect reason for bookworms to travel
The pretty Penang region of Georgetown hosts another literary festival for discerning bookworms.
As Penang fast becomes Malaysia's arts and culture capital, it's easy to see why the picturesque area of Georgetown would be the go-to region to host a literary festival. Taking place from Nov 28-30, this year's edition will feature even more writers, poets and thinkers from Malaysia and around Southeast Asia, alongside some notable international names.
Although the full line-up has yet to be announced, if last year was anything to go by, there were people like Mahat Akiya, Tash Aw, Ali Cobby Ackermann, Eric Hansen and Madeleine Thien. Keep up to date with their line up and full programs through their Facebook page.
