Boutique-ish hotel Ozo Kandy is offering a special Esala Perahera package for visitors to experience one of the world’s oldest and grandest Buddhist festivals, taking place between the dates of Aug 20-30. The Sri Lankan festival itself consists of a series of vibrant evening parades with fire and whip dancers and traditional dances.

For approximately $1,071, you’ll get a three-night stay at this contemporary, minimal stylet hotel, along with two front-row festival tickets that are valued at $108 each. As a bonus, the hotel will also offer a half-day tour through the city as well. The package is also inclusive of breakfast at the hotel’s in-house restaurant, EAT, which specializes in breakfast juices and healthy dining.

Singapore Airlines, Sri Lankan AIr and Emirates fly direct to Colombo, after which you can train or drive up to Kandy.
