A couple of weeks ago, we reported a collaboration between AirAsi a and ANA to launch budget airline AirAsia Japan early next year. We can now also expect a Malaysian foray into the Land of the Rising Sun, with the opening of an Osaka route later this year. From Nov 30, AirAsia X (www.airasia.com) will start flying its Airbus A330 from Kuala Lumpur to Kansai International Airport in Osaka four times a week. Thai travelers must book for a check-through Bangkok-Kuala Lumpur-Osaka ticket, which starts from B5,090 one-way—but you don’t need to check in luggage or clear immigration in KL.
