If it wasn't already, Manila just became a foodie destination
A homegrown talent just won San Pellegrino's Asia's Best Female Chef
Next time you're in Manila, don't forget to make a foodie pilgrimage to what will surely now be its buzziest restaurants. Local celebrity chef Margarita Forés has been named San Pellegrino's Asia’s Best Female Chef 2016, making her string of Manila eateries some pretty hot tickets.
Forés has established many restaurants in Manila, so be sure to go to at least one: there's Lusso (along Legaspi Street in Makati), which provides an all-day salon-style cafe experience, with Italian food, Champagne and caviar. Then there's Grace Park (on the ground floor of One Rockwell), serving Filipino cuisine that was inspired by Fores' ancestral home. For Italian home cooking, check out Alta (at Ascott BGC in Taguig City), which serves international cuisine. For more affordable cuisine, there's Cibo, with 17 outlets around the island (one of them is at Alabang Town Center).
