Asia’s largest low-cost carrier AirAsia has just ceased its involvement with AirAsia Japan, its subsidiary in partnership with All Nippon Airways (ANA). Still, now we have a new choice to fly to Japan, Asia Atlantic Airlines (www.asiaatlanticairlines.com). The joint venture between leading Japan tourism company H.I.S. Group and Thai hotel group Baiyoke Group will see two Boeing 767-300 operate daily flights between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport and Osaka’s Kansai International Airport. They plan to fly to other destinations such as China, South Korea, Guam and Hawaii in the near future. Prices start at B17,500 for economy class and B30,000 for business class, from now through Sep 29.
