This week and the next is your last chance to see the hills and valleys of Khun Sathan National Park covered in pink Nang Phaya Seua Klong flowers in full bloom. The onset of the blooming season was slightly delayed due to the cold weather last year and early this year, but with temperatures on the rise, you don’t have much time left. Just opened in the heart of Chiang Mai, the Lanna Folklife Museum recounts the rich culture and history of northern Thailand (Lanna). Set in the former district court building, right opposite the Three Kings Monument, the Neoclassical structure houses waxworks, textiles, religious sculptures, wooden decorative ornaments and tools. Airports of Thailand (AOT) just added everyone’s favorite electronic pet, Furby, to its list of prohibited items on board aircrafts. Behind the cuddly façade, the AOT director explained that Furbies contain complex electronic circuiting that could be used to hide explosive devices. Nok Air currently tells their passengers that they can fly with their Furby if they remove the battery first.
