Myanmar’s untouched Mergui Archipelago first made headlines last year thanks to Cock's Comb Island's heart-shaped lagoon.

Now, tour operator Love Andaman (076-390-250, www.fb.com/loveandaman) offers packages to another one of its gems, Lord Loughborough Island.

Starting Oct 15, the daily B3,500 tour sets off from Ranong province and takes in three stops around the island with time for a spot of snorkel diving in the perfectly crystal waters. The price includes the border pass fee for Thai nationals. Other nationalities should book the trip 14 days in advance and pay an extra B1,500 for the all-inclusive visa appilcation package.

Worried about the long drive to Ranong? Nok Air (www.nokair.com) operates daily flights from Bangkok starting from B4,798 per round trip.
