Must-see Chiang Mai exhibition celebrates 20 years of Navin Production
The Thai contemporary master Navin Rawanchaikul displays his work at three venues across the city.
Travel north to Chiang Mai to celebrate the 20th anniversary of award-winning artist Navin Rawanchaikul's gallery, Navin Production (www.navinproduction.com). Together with collector Dr. Disaphol Chansiri, the artist has organized a new collaborative exhibition titled A Tale of Two Homes, showcasing his projects in a wide range of media, including portrait paintings, sculptures and interactive art with sounds.
The exhibition takes place at two venues which trace back to Navin's roots—OK Store (Varorat Market, 5 Kruang-mae Rd.), his family’s fabric shop; and StudiOK (87/109 Sammakorn House), home of Navin Production—from now through Jun 30. Visits to Navin Production are by appointment only.
A further exhibition of the artist’s work is taking place in Dr. Chansiri’s very own garden residence, DC Collection (104 Maneenopparat Rd.), on display through Oct 15. This exhibition is also by appointment only.
