The first thing that comes to mind when you think Tokyo is its bright lights and loud noises. It's hardly a relaxing getaway type destination. But with the arrival of the Aman Tokyo, right smack in the middle of the financial district, you might just be able to achieve zen.

Set to open on Dec 22, Aman Tokyo's 84 rooms and suites and will occupy levels 33-38 of the new Otemachi Towers. It also comes complete with an inner gargen, spa and a swimming pool with an elevated sanctuary. The gorgeous lobby is paper lantern-inspired, with soaring high ceilings and wood and grey slate surfaces. Food wise, you can also tuck into Mediterranean-inspired fare at The Café by Aman and its also supposedly the only place in Tokyo that serves fresh seasonal sake.
