Opened last month in Johor, in the southern part of the country, Legoland Malaysia (www.legoland.com.my) is Asia’s first Lego-themed amusement park and just the world’s sixth. The Danish-born, 76-acre theme park is split into seven zones: The Beginning, Imagination, Lego Kingdom, Land of Adventure, Lego Technic, Lego City and Miniland. Some 50 million Lego bricks went into building the park’s attractions, which include the Lego Petronas Twin Towers and the Lego KL Tower. There are also rides (made of slightly sterner stuff than Lego, of course) like the rollercoaster on which to unleash your inner child. A one-day pass is RM140 (B1,400), but book seven days in advance and you’ll get a 25% discount.
