This month sees a lot of changes at Six Senses’ properties in Phuket. Six Senses on Koh Yao Noi had been under renovation for a month and is now open again for business under the new name—Six Senses Yao Noi Beyond Phuket (076-418-500, www.sixsenses.com/sixsensesyaonoi). All rooms and villas have been refurbished, and it looks like a brand new resort. Guests can now access The Hilltop Reserve, a private retreat for relaxing, swimming and dining with a stunning panorama of the Andaman Sea. Thai resident rates are from B10,000 net with breakfast and a roundtrip boat transfer to and from Ao Por Pier, through Oct 31. Also, the rumor is true: Six Senses Sanctuary (formerly Six Senses Destination Spa) has closed as of Aug 1, due to the end of the management contract. We don’t know yet who will come manage this award-winning property next, but we’ll keep you posted.
