Aleenta Hua Hin Resort and Spa

The resort: Only steps away from the beach, Aleenta Hua Hin offers 25 private pool villas, all facing the Gulf of Thailand.
The villas: Each has its own unique decor, but there’s a similar, rustic taste throughout, with thatched roofs and circular walls.
The pool: Like the villas, the pools come in a heap of different sizes and shapes. Though just moments from the beach, do note that the smallest “Pool Residence” and “Palm Pool Residence” categories feature little more than a plunge pool.
The location: Not far from Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas (see below), sitting in Pak Nampran Bay, Aleenta is the furthest resort from Hua Hin town in this list.
The price: Pool villas start at B5,376 a night.

Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas

The resort: Fifty-three private pool villas, perched just up from Pranburi beach and surrounded in jungle.
The villas: Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, the rooms’ decor focuses on natural materials for a totally relaxing vibe, offering guests a private dining area, furnished terrace and balcony.
The pool: Pools sit among big palm trees and green gardens, making you feel as if you are in nature, but with all the mod-cons.
The location: The resort sits quite to the south of Hua Hin in Pranburi. We put it about a 30-minute drive from town.
The price: Pool villas start at B5,464 a night.

Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin

The resort: Since the early 1920s, Centara Hua Hin has been serving up the kind of low-rise, spacious, faux-colonial elegance that makes any modern resort look trashy.
The villas: White hued and with wood accents, the pool villa is surrounded by a tree-filled garden that gives you all the privacy and quietness you’re probably looking for.
The pool: It's marble, and looks absolutely stunning. You're also sure that no matter how hot the day gets, the pool will still remain cool for your dip.
The location: The resort sits right in front of the busiest stretch of beach in the center of town. Upside: you’re right next to everything. Downside: the beach out front is awash with deck chairs and tourists.
The price: The Deluxe Pool Villa starts at B9,100/night, but you'll get 15-percent off if booking 15 days in advance.

Veranda Resort and Spa Hua Hin- Cha Am

The resort: Veranda’s beautiful, modern-Asian architecture and boutique size disguise the fact that you’re not really in five-star luxury territory when it comes to materials.
The villas: Super-duper private, trendy and spacious. The room comes fully equipped with an outdoor bathtub as well as a pool, on top of comfy furniture and a 24-hour butler.
The pool: Set right in front of the living room, the pool’s cool, natural stone finish turns the water a jump-in-me shade of blue that looks stunning against the brown wood terrace.
The location: Set on the beach between Cha-Am and Hua Hin, it’ll take you about 15-20 minutes’ drive to reach town.
The price: Pool villas start at B11,550, but the resort offers 15-percent off with its Best Unrestricted Rate deal on stays through Oct 30. Purchase 21 days ahead and you get 20-percent discount.

V Villas Hua Hin

The resort: Basically a collection of massive, crisp-edged one-and-two-bedroom villas strung together by an equally contemporary pathway and a huge communal pool at the end, overlooking the beach. The kind of place where you check into your villa and forget that you’re even in a resort and not just some lavish beachside pad.
The villas: Vast and surrounded by glass, each of the villas comes decked out in neutral shades, a hardwood deck, and with more floor space than anyone we know’s home. Other touches include Hermes amenities, a twin Jacuzzi and a private garden.
The pool: Sitting right in front of the spacious bed and living rooms, you can easily roll out of bed and go straight into the pool. It’s also huge, big enough for a party—if that’s how you roll.
The location: The villa sits right in the heart of Hua Hin, on Petchakasem Road. From there, you can easily reach the markets and restaurants within minutes.
The price: One-bedroom pool villas start at B14,760, and two-bedroom pool villas at B20,160.

Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort

The resort: Perched right on the beach, the imposing, luxury resort cocoons itself around a perfect stretch of sand, just moments from the main road.
The villas: You have to splurge on the five-star resort’s top-most room category if you want a private pool. The Club InterContinental Beach Villas feature 85 sq meters of modern Thai styling that’ll happily swallow up two grownups and their kids (though you’ll be sharing the one bedroom).
The pool: Just big enough to do lengths and totally isolated while still offering sea views. There’s an alfresco dining area right outside your living room, as well as a spacious sunbathing cabana to the side.
The location: The resort sits along the beachfront, on Petchkasen Road to be exact, where Bluport Mall, its cinema and sushi restaurants are just a 200-meter dash away.
The price: The beach villas start at B22,500. The only discount on that which we can find is their “Stay Longer, Payless” deal—stay five nights or longer and get 20-percent discount on dining and laundry. Yippee.
